So…..
here is the second installment of the La Roche News Update!!!
it is now week four of my second year with Taste!! Honestly it has started out pretty mental but Good all at the same time!! We have been madly rehearsing for the past three weeks which has been going well and we are getting there, a bit of fine tuning from the Bosscat Andy C but on the whole rehearsals looking Good!!!
Wednesdays have been awesome since we started back as we have been having bible studied finely executed by some outside speakers to kick start our year!! in these we have been looking and working our way through the book of Matthew and the sermon on the mount. An awesome part of the bible which has been challenging me massively over the last few weeks. I am gonna name the speakers and what they spoke on because they were truly breathtaking!!! so.. Week One Phil Andrews(Avenue Baptist) spoke on Matthew 5 v13-16 an incredible insight into what it means to be salt and light to the world. Week Two Pete Hillman (Legacy) set a real challenge between Gods Law vs Relationship with Jesus and what Grace means in all of that form Matthew 5 v17-20. Week Three saw Andy Drake (Christian Vision For Men) boldly speaking about prayer and working through the Lords Prayer and what that means in my life. These times have been really special and crucial in developing my faith. Giving me practical ways to exercise my faith in public aswell as bringing my innermost intimate feelings to Him in my personal time.
Also build into the framework of my week is “Personal Time Out” or PTO as it is sometimes called. This is built in on Thursday and Friday mornings in the office from nine ish until ten ish where the Check It Out Team all do it at the same time. This is a time where we are given a passage of the bible and we pray and read this passage through to see what we think God might be saying through it to us. I like this time because i read and then pray through the passage for myself. Sometimes me and Ben then have a chat about what it means and what we thought about it and what God was saying through it. We then all come together as a group and talk about what God had challenged us about or how we feel about it. This time is a great time to just kick back and relax with God but also get stuck into his word!

i would value your prayers for various areas of my ministry this year so if you would like to support me in that way i would love it!!! (and i’m almost certain God would tooo) Could you please Pray for:
- my health- i have been suffering from a few problems since the start of the year, my shoulder I have strained ligaments and tendons so am finding it incredibly painful to lift things or even use my arm really. Also my teeth!!! they really hurt and i don’t know why??? i have a dentist appointment for the 24th sept.
- The Check It Out Team’s first schools weeks in Grantham!!! please pray that we have a good reception in the schools and the young people are open to the Gospel and are challenged by God in those weeks into becoming desciples!!!! Tour dates are Oct 4-16.
- Also please pray about my equipment situation. the equipment i use as a DJ is borrowed, which means the school who have lent it could ask for it back at any time. In light of this i am trying to raise money to buy some new equipment for me to use not only in this year but in the future to help people engage with the message of the Gospel.
